Char Dham Yatra Registration Begins in Rishikesh
  • Offline registration for the 2026 Chardham Yatra officially began on April 17 at transit camps in Rishikesh and Haridwar, with 2,713 pilgrims registering on the first day alone.
  • Authorities have established 30 registration counters at the Rishikesh Transit Camp and ISBT, operating in multiple shifts with high-resolution CCTV and improved queue management to handle the influx.
  • Combined with online registrations that began in March, the total number of enrolled pilgrims has already reached 18.41 lakh (1.84 million) ahead of the official start date.
  • The pilgrimage officially begins on April 19 (Akshaya Tritiya) with the opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri portals, followed by Kedarnath on April 22 and Badrinath on April 23.
