CM Dhami Orders Crackdown on Encroachment, Strict Action in Dehradun

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed all district officials to take "bulldozer action" against illegal structures on government and forest lands without delay.

In Rishikesh and Dehradun, the Municipal Corporation has begun a massive drive to clear footpaths and public roads, seizing goods from shopkeepers who have extended their businesses illegally.

The CM emphasized that any official found negligent in preventing new encroachments within their jurisdiction will face disciplinary action.

Specialized teams have been formed to cross-reference land records and identify "ghost" structures that have cropped up on protected revenue land over the last decade.
