Manipur Protest Turns Violent During Torch Rally Clash

Violent Confrontation: A large-scale torch rally (Meira) in Imphal turned violent when protesters clashed with security forces after being stopped from marching towards the Chief Minister’s residence and BJP office.

Tear Gas and Pellets: Security forces fired tear gas to disperse the crowd after stone-pelting and use of catapults with iron pellets, causing injuries on both sides.
